Rotary Switches

General
RECOM range of Rotary Switches incorporate wiping contact design concept to meet reliable standards for arduous industrial applications. These are basically designed for manual operation and essentially recommended for ON-LOAD switching of resistive and inductive circuits. This design permits infinite combination of circuits, variety of attachments and accessories to meet any standard & non-standard specification. RECOM Rotary Switches are widely used for isolation, selection, control and auxiliary switching, in Control Panels, Switch Boards, Cubicles, Control Desks Motor Control Centres, Mechine Tools, electrical equipments etc.

Construction :
Based on packet principle, switches incorporate air-break type wiping contacts operating on rotary action thus making and breaking the required circuit between fixed and moving contacts, manufactured out of specially selected contact materials and housed in anti-tracking quality moulded packets. Moving Contacts are operated through an insulated spindle by means of a positive indexing mechanism, while Fixed Contacts are positioned in the packets. This complete assembly of Contacts and Mechanism is manually rotated with suitable handle.

Mechanism
Rotary Switches are manufactured with 2 Two Types of Mechanisms

Quick Make / Slow Break action for AC circuits
Quick Make / Quick Break action for DC circuits which is independent of the action of the operator.

Specification
RECOM Rotary Switches comply with IS 13947 (Pt 3): 1993 utln. cat. AC-22A ISS 4064 Pt. 1-1978, IEC 408 & Defence Specification JSS 51208,

Test
Each switch is tested to withstand H. V. test of 2.5 KV for one minute.

Temperature
Switches are recommended to be used under temperatures upto 50° C Ambient.

Guarantee
Each RECOM Switch carries with it a guarantee against manufacturing defects and faulty workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.
